I just had a baby 2.5 months ago. We named him Link Alan Schulz and a friend just posted this picture on my Facebook page of the Link outfit. We are willing to pay $80.00 plus shipping to someone who can make the entire outfit and blanket for him. He’s a big boy (very tall for his age) and is getting too long for 3-6 months sizes. I am making this pattern, but having trouble with the buttonholes. Step 7 says:

Make a buttonhole on the overlapping part of the placket every 6 rows as follows: when you reach the 6 stitches forming the overlapping part of the placket, k2, k2tog twice, k2. When you get to the gap on the following row, CO2 using the backward loop method.

Now, k2, k2 tog twice, k2 is a total of 8 stitches, not 6.

Is it k1, k2 tog twice, k1?

Or should I do k2, k2 tog, yo, k2?

Or is there something else I should do???

I really love this little outfit but i dont know how to knit is there anyone that could possibly make me one ? My cousin is having a baby boy in june and i want to surprise her with this she is a major zelda freak i know she would love it i could pay up to 40.00 if thats reasonable please let me know thanks

Thank you so much for creating and sharing this pattern – My husband and i are big Zelda fans (and are even shamefully getting our kids hooked on it, he has been playing it for them in lieu of a bedtime story this week . I am pregnant with baby #4, and just found it is a boy, so i got out this pattern page to get started. I just transcribed the pattern onto cards for myself (i don’t have a printer) and i have to say that it makes perfect sense and is very well written, thank you!!

BTW, if this were a girl, i would have wanted a zelda costume – so i am hoping that in a couple years you will have a Princess Zelda costume in case i have a girl ;o). Any plans? otherwise i had better start designing.
