Do you live in the Toronto area? Do you need some great ideas for original and hand-made Christmas presents? Have you always wanted to meet the Happy Seamstress in person? Then you should come check out these upcoming craft shows! We will be selling tons of awesome craft kits and patterns. The Beardo and Octie will make an appearance, but we also have lots of new kits that we think you’ll really enjoy! So hopefully you’ll be able to make it out to one or several of these shows:
Crafternoon Tea in Lesliville
Nov. 26th – 11am to 5pm
947 Queen St. East, Toronto
Held at the Queen Street East Presbyterian Church and organized by Nathalie-Roze & Co., the Crafternoon Tea is now in its 7th year and features over 30 local vendors selling their handmade wares. As the name of the event implies, there will also be tea and sweets, the proceeds of which will go to the Woodgreen Community Centre and Red Door Shelter. There will also be a raffle with over $1000 worth of prizes donated by local businesses and participating vendors.
SpeakEasy’s Annual Holiday Sale
Dec. 1st – 7 to 11pm
1214 Queen St. West, Toronto
This holiday-themed show will take place at the historic Gladstone Hotel, in the Second Floor Art Gallery. There will be about 40 local artists selling handmade goods, perfect gifts for whichever solstice festival you might happen to celebrate. The evening will also include tunes and holiday cocktails, so there will certainly be good times had by all! There is a “pay what you can” cover charge, with a suggested price of $4.
The Artisans’ Gift Fair
Dec. 3rd – 12 to 6pm
292 Brunswick Ave., Toronto
The Artisans’ Gift Fair is an annual show that takes place in the Annex at the Tranzac, the Toronto-Australia-New Zealand club. This event will also take place on the 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th and 18th of December, so if you can’t make it on the 3rd, you can go on those other dates, though you’ll miss our crafty awesomeness. Admission is free, and there will be lots of vendors with reasonably-priced one-of-a-kind goodies.
